Page 5 - Indies Roundtable 2nd Anniversary Edition
P. 5
A few words from our founder, Lisa Orban

In September of 2018, with butterflies in my stomach, I opened the doors
of Indies United with a jumble of doubts nibbling at the edge of my thoughts.
Would authors respond to what we were offering? Would readers come to us
to find new books? Would my little publishing house be able to survive in this
competitive industry?

Two years and 35+ authors later, I know I made the right decision. My
little publishing house is not so little anymore as we continue to grow in ways
that has exceeded my highest hopes in the beginning. And in our growth this
past year, we have added three new outreach programs, Zoom with Us,
Library Outreach, and Book It!. We started a quarterly magazine, and in
November, we will publish our first, of what we hope will become an annual
anthology, Infinite Indies, featuring short stories by our authors.

We have become big enough that we have been able to offer up a new book
for release almost every single week for the last year. And we will continue to
do so going into 2021. We are so blessed to have gathered such an amazing
and diverse group of authors from around the world for our readers to choose
from. We have come a long way in the last two years, and I can only imagine
that we will continue to grow and expand in the years to come.

So, thank you, Dear Reader, because, without you, we would not be where
we are today. Thank you for your support by taking a chance on our authors
and purchasing their books with your hard-earned money.

We truly have become a place where readers and authors meet.
